To paraphrase the well-known saying, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” the same applies to a popular concept: if it’s still popular, don’t stop making it. The RCT is still a popular and cherished RUF model, and therefore we are still building it.
The charm of the air-cooled, single-turbo flat-six that behaves in a similar way to a large-displacement normally-aspirated engine, continues to enthral RUF enthusiasts the world over. It is this traditional simplicity as well as the host of exquisite details that might normally be overlooked that make the RCT such an attractive proposition to sports car enthusiasts. In many ways it doesn’t get any better.
